A sudoku puzzle is a grid of nine large squares, each divided into nine smaller squares.
The objective of sudoku is to enter the numbers 1 to 9 in each smaller square, in such a way that:

Each horizontal row (shown in blue) contains each number only once

Each vertical column (shown in purple) contains each number only once
-
Each larger square (shown in yellow) also contains each number only once
A sudoku puzzle has only one solution, Solving it requires only simple logic. No knowledge of mathematics is required.
In each sudoku puzzle, several numbers are pre-entered, these may not be changed.
The aim being to fill the remainder of the puzzle with numbers, following the rules above. Click on any not pre-entered square and you will be given a choice of actions.

Be warned, sudoku can be highly addictive....... If you find you are really stuck, press the check button, or say a prayer to the Apostle Saint Jude Thaddeus, the Patron Saint of "lost causes" and "cases despaired of."
