Question

Why do some pages open in a separate tab or window, whilst others replace the page I was on?

Answer

If the page you have selected is an external website, then that will open in a new tab or window. This allows you to easily return to St. David's website by selecting the tab you were originally on. All selections on St. David's website replace the page you were on, and give you a menu, home or back button.

Some pages look fine on my friends computer, but on mine the layout of some pages appears strange. Why is this?

There are many operating systems currently in use, some of the most popular being Windows, (Vista, 7, 8, & 10),  Mac OSX (Several versions) & Linux (numerous versions including Ubuntu, Android & Google O/S). Add to this a load of browsers (most popular are  Edge, Safari, Chrome and Firefox). This increases the possibility, though rare, of errors occurring when showing web pages. If the problem is severe or particularly annoying, you can often solve it by using a different browser. (St. Davids website is best viewed in Chrome.)

Download Chrome here or Firefox here(Also available in Welsh, Hefyd ar gael yn y Gymraeg.)

You may well experience a much better and faster experience on the web overall, as a bonus!

I really enjoy listening to some of the radio stations that you provide, but I would like to browse the site at the same time, is this possible?

Quite easy, just select the link to the station you require, (it will open in a separate tab or window). Once the radio is playing just select the tab to St. Davids website WITHOUT closing the tab you were in.

I really enjoy listening to some of the radio stations that you provide, but I need to use my computer for something else (work, study etc.) is it possible to do both?

Quite easy, just select the link to the station you require, (it will open in a separate tab or window). Once the radio is playing, either minimise the browser window and open whatever program you require, or open a new tab or window to browse the internet.

I would like to make a donation, but I am not sure that it is safe to enter my card details, can you assure me that this is secure?

All donations including those by debit or credit cards, are handled by PayPal using secure servers. Do observe basic security though as when paying anything on-line. i.e. Make sure no one is watching, never use a public computer, don't use a public wi-fi 'hot-spot', and preferably use a wired connection to the internet rather than wi-fi if possible.
